Matching Set - Checked Tablecloth

A colourful handmade two-piece set created from a checked tablecloth in warm yellow, green and coral tones. The entire textile has been transformed into this matching adult outfit, and I have no more of the fabric available, so this exact set cannot be recreated.

The top has a relaxed straight silhouette with short sleeves, a pointed collar and five handmade tie closures down the front. Small bead details finish the ties and add to the playful, handcrafted character of the design.

The coordinating shorts have an elasticated waist and a loose, comfortable shape. They are made without pockets, keeping the silhouette simple and allowing the distinctive checked pattern to remain the focus. Both pieces can be worn together as a complete set or styled separately with other wardrobe favourites.

There is a small repaired area on the front of the fabric. I carefully mended it so that it blends naturally with the woven appearance of the textile, and I feel it looks authentic rather than distracting. The repair is visible in the close-up photograph and has been included honestly as part of the garment’s story and individual character.
