Shorts - Kitchen Curtains

A one-of-a-kind pair of white shorts handmade from old kitchen curtains, giving a delicate household textile an entirely new life as wearable clothing.

The original curtain fabric features intricate cutwork embroidery, small floral details and beautifully scalloped edges. I positioned the decorative border along the legs so the embroidery could remain the main feature of the design rather than being cut away.

The shorts have a relaxed shape with a comfortable drawstring waist, making them easy to wear for lounging, warm days or layered over swimwear. The crisp white colour and detailed embroidery give them a light, romantic appearance, while their unusual origin makes them completely unique.
